We are proud and grateful to announce that Winona Fire Department has been awarded a $28,957.00 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to support our ongoing emergency response efforts.
This generous funding was used to purchase Structural Firefighting Turnout Gear — the specialized protective equipment our firefighters rely on to safely respond to structure fires and other high-risk emergencies. With this new gear now in service, our team has the updated protection they need on every call, strengthening our ability to respond quickly and safely to emergencies throughout our community.
For a department like ours, grants like this make a meaningful difference. Equipment costs continue to rise, and outside support helps us stretch local resources further so we can focus on what matters most: protecting the Butler and Salem Township communities we serve.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded hundreds of grants nationwide to fire, police, and EMS departments, funding lifesaving equipment, training, and resources for first responders. This latest grant reflects their continued commitment to strengthening public safety at the local level.
